I have registered, but... I never received the confirmation message with the password... now what?
There are several reasons why this could have happened:
Spam filtering (don't ask me why)
Typo in your eMail address
You entered a non-existent eMail address (this happens from time to time)
In such cases, send a message to forumadmin {AT} hazeleger {DOT} net, specify the user name you have chosen, and the eMail address that it should be registered to. We will check the information, and mail you a new access password. In case of wrong eMail addresses you are responsible for correcting it yourself.
When I logged on to the forums for the first time, I was a "Member/Member", now all over sudden I am a "Registered/Member", also the forum seems much bigger now... can you explain this?
When you register, the forum software automatically gives you the "Member/Member" status. The Forum Admins will notice new members, and will (still manually) upgrade the member's status to "Registered"; this usually happens within 8 hours after registering, due to differences in time zones it may take longer, however.
The "Registered" status gives you access to the "Useful links" section of the forums, you can see this as a way for us to show our appreciation of becoming a member of our community!
I want to have more than one account, can I just register twice?
NO!!! Our Terms of Service (ToS) and our Privacy Policy (PP) specifically prohibit this! If you have a good reason for this request, contact the forum admins first.. they decide whether you can or can't!
Hey, I registered, but I got a letter from the admins saying that my user name (or any other part of my profile) is not acceptable... what is this?
You have to understand that, being an international support forum, we have to deal with many different cultures.
Since it is in no way the mission of this forum to insult, hurt, flame etc. members, from whatever culture they may come, the ToS is quite strict in these matters.
The Forum Admins, who "enforce" both the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, will intervene in such cases and will contact the member with the request to change the information to a non-objectable one; if this request by the admins is ignored or rejected, the account will be terminated by the admins.
In the Lounges you have quite a degree of freedom to post about any subject... as long as is is within the boundaries set by the Terms of Service; in the support forums: NO!
I am a member of the forums, I have my password, but at times I get "kicked off" by the forum and have to log on to it again. This is really annoying... can you do something about it?
We can't, but you can!
Your logon details are stored in a cookie on your computer's hard disk, the forum checks for the presence and de validity of the cookie. Now, because of security/privacy settings, or special anti-cookie software, it is possible that you can log on to the forums ("in memory session cookie"), but that there is no cookie written to your hard disk, the next time when you try to post, send a PM, or want to go to your profile, the forum software checks for that cookie, and doesn't find it... in which case you're indeed 'kicked off' by it. Also, you may have selected (at logon time) to set the life-time of the cookie to let's say 15 minutes, after that time has expired... you won't be logged on so, on the next page change, you'll be logged off!
The only solution for this problem is to allow the cookies (two for each forum) from hazeleger.net; only then you will stay logged on for as long as you had set the cookie's time to live (or forever if you want to)
I have lost/forgotten my password/user name... now what to do?
Near the logon boxes at the forums, there is always a tiny link that says "Forgot password?".
Click on the link, then fill out the short form that is presented, and the current password will be mailed to the address you registered with at registration time.
In only one instance the admins will change the password for you, and that is - if for some reason - you haven't received your confirmation message with the randomly generated password.... and the message didn't bounce back to us.
In the latter case, mail the forumadmin FROM the address you registered with, and specify your user name and eMail address you registered it with. A good subject line would be: [THL] Didn't receive confirmation message!
In all other instances you are responsible for the forum being able to reach you by eMail (and most of these messages are sent automatically, like: Notification of a new post in a thread you subscribed to, notifications of PM's, registration eMails).
In case you have forgotten your user name, a request has to be sent to the forum admins from the address you registered at the forums, only that way we can verify that you are really that person.
Note: Sometimes we receive a request to reveal the password of the writer.
We have to disappoint you in this matter, even the admins only see "*****" as your password, and even the webmaster (with access to the actual files in which the passwords are stored) cannot, simply because the passwords are stored in an encrypted form!!! Instead of mailing us the request, use the little link to the right of the log in fields ("Forgot password?", provide your user name, and your password will be mailed within minutes to you!

In one word: NO! More detailed:
The forum was set up as a community; a community in which we share the information, in order to make it available to as many people as possible. Providing support by eMail defeats the function of the Forums as such, therefore we won't provide support by eMail... If you want support on FoxMail, you have to become a member of the forums!
I'm trying to get to your forums, but get a message that I am banned... what's this???
A person, or IP-address, is only banned when there is a reason for such action. If you think that you have been banned wrongly, please contact the "forumadmin" address by eMail.
In case you are a registered member of the forum, please mail from the eMail-address you registered here, and mention your user (or display) name in the message.
